Hi everyone. I hope you were able to come last Sunday and experience “A Journey to the Potter’s House”. If not, you can sign out the DVD at the kiosk.
JOYS and CONCERNS
This morning I got a call from Lourdes Kleid, who is leading a youth mission trip to the Dominican Republic. She had asked us to pray for the team while they are away, and prayers have already been answered as their plane had engine trouble and had to turn around and land back at the airport. Everyone was fine, but they will have to spend today at the airport, as the next flight is tomorrow morning. Lourdes reports that the kids are doing great. The airline is putting them up in a hotel for the evening and they will be on their way tomorrow morning! Praise God! Please continue to pray for this team: Lourdes Kleid, Lindsey Dean, Mills Shenkman, Katlin Geysen, Karlie Dean, Dani Rieland, Katie Leck, Ethan Warren, Tiffany Miller, Lissa Mansfield, Kyle Geysen, Michael Pearlman, Josh Nieves, Tom Robson, Dan Holder, Billy McHugh, Katie Hunter, Pat Lynn. We continue to pray for Mary Merillat, whose condition is very serious. Please also remember Bob and the rest of the family in your prayers. We also ask for prayers for Ellen Pearson and her family on the sudden death of Ellen’s brother, Ken. Please also pray for those in Sunday’s bulletin corner.

Requests of Congregation
The Youth Mexico Team is looking for donations to help them do their mission project in Ensenada. The project will cost $2,000. They are building the foundation of the new church building. They will be working with block and cement. (This is the church that Jen Nieves and Rachel Flanagan worked at a few years ago as summer missionaries.) There is a poster in the fellowship hall near the kitchen with information on how you can contribute. One of the team members will be there Sunday morning to answer any questions.
Vacation Bible School is looking for some items: pup tents, unlighted artificial Christmas trees and a Little Tykes walk in cabin. Please contact Sheryle at s.silvern@hrcrca.org, if you can lend us any of these items.
Summer Schedules
The church office has begun its Summer schedule. There will be someone in the office Monday – Thursday from 8 AM until 2 PM. And from 8 AM until noon on Fridays. The staff’s summer schedule is posted outside the church office.
And that is all the buzz there is this week!
Your sister in Christ,
Birgit
