What’s the Buzz? August 31, 2009
Posted on August 31, 2009 by Birgit Chisholm under "The Buzz",

We are a church that believes in the power of prayer. There are many in our church family that need our prayers, some who are in such pain that they are unable to pray for themselves. If you would like your church family to pray for you, please complete a green prayer card found in the pews.

Joys and Concerns

Congratulations to Rachel Snider for passing her NYS boards; she is now a Physician’s Assistant! Sunday morning at Beekman Road there was mention of two wedding anniversaries – The Gombas celebrating their 25th and the Conklins celebrating their 56th!  We also rejoiced with Bill Weeks who came through his surgery and is on the road to recovery. Concerns this week include Lisa Ruvo, Susan Mitchell, and Joe Luhrs, all dealing with medical issues. We also ask for prayers for the family and friends of Mary Merillat, who died this past Saturday.  We will email arrangements for Mary’s funeral as soon as we know them. Please add these joys and concerns to your prayer list and refer to them throughout the week.

Worship Information

This coming Sunday we will all be worshiping at Tymor Park beginning at 10:30 AM. Pastor Holbrook will be preaching and Pastor Mark and Pastor Randy will be participating in the service. We will share communion. Following the service, we will have our annual church picnic.  Please bring a chair to sit on and a salad or dessert to share at the picnic.

Sunday School will begin their regular schedule on September 13: Sunday school for The Gathering: Children in PreK-5 start in worship with their families; youth in grades 6-12 start in the Youth House. Sunday school for Foundations:  Children in PreK will begin in their classroom. Children in grades K-5 start in worship with their families; youth in grades 6-12 start in the Youth House.

And that is all the buzz there is this week!
