Believe it or not, this past Sunday was the first Sunday in Advent. I will let that sink in…besides what that says about shopping days, at HRC it means everything has been turned up a notch! We will be working ahead regarding bulletin information, so if you have an annoucement that must get in before Christmas, please send it to the church at hrchurch@hrcrca.org as soon as possible. In December, deadlines are non-existant. If you want to guarantee your annoucement gets in the bulletin, send it ASAP!!!
Joys and Concerns
We continue prayers for the Jacobs family and the Nieves family. Losing a loved one during the holidays seems to heighten the loss. Please lift up these families in your prayers.

Holiday Giving Ideas
Check out the Mary Merillat Mission Tree booklet for ways to support missions at HRC during this holiday season; there are several families we are helping out through our Deacon’s Fund (any donations are to be made out to HRC Deacon’s Fund); the Food Pantry is always in need of items (donations are accepted at HRC and taken to the Food Pantry at the Fishkill Reformed Church).
Don’t forget to check out our website, HopewellReformedChurch.org.
And that is all the buzz there is this week!
Your sister in Christ,
Birgit
