Joys and Concerns 

We rejoice with the Hanna family on the birth of Colby Gibson, son of Trish and Mike. Mom and son are doing well. Please continue to pray for all those in our community that are struggling with work issues and health issues. Also continue to pray for those in our Sunday bulletin’s prayer corner.

Worship Information

This coming Sunday is Boy Scout Sunday.  Our Scout troop and scouts from other troops will help with the worship service. The next two Sundays we will be hear about the Belhar Confession. (The 2009 General Synod of the Reformed Church in America voted to adopt the Belhar Confession as a standard of unity. The decision needs to be approved by two-thirds of the RCA’s 46 classes, which will report their votes to the 2010 General Synod.)This week’s scripture is 2 Corinthians 5:16-21. The sermon title is This We Believe: We Are Together. Gathering begins at 8:45 AM with Glory Bound leading worship. Sunday school for The Gathering: Children in PreK-5 start in worship with their families; youth in grades 6-12 start in the Youth House. Foundations begins at 10:30 AM with the Chancel Choir leading worship.  Sunday school for Foundations:  Children in grades Pre-K-5 start in worship with their families; youth in grades 6-12 start in the Youth House.

 HRC Journey – Journey is at Tymor Park every Sunday at 10:00 AM.  Worship is led by Lynn and Wayne Morrison.  Sunday school is available for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. Odyssey is the 2nd & 4th Sundays of every month.

Common Ground – The Common Ground service meets at Arlington Reformed Church’s parsonage at 129 Ray Blvd., Poughkeepsie NY beginning at 4:00 PM.

Upcoming Events

February 2 - Odyssey Bible Study begins. Call Chris Snider or Steve Dambra for details.

February 7 – Congregational meeting following our Foundations service. Lunch will be provided. Come help us celebrate the year past and hear plans for the future! We will also elect a new Elder to Consistory.

February 14 – BIG Worship will be at 3:00pm. This will be the last talk/worship for the Sharpe retreat. We invite all to come hear what the kids heard at the retreat. Preaching will be Carlos DiVitis , Youth pastor from Peninsula Covenant Church in California and the Matt Brooks Band will lead worship.

We want to thank Jeanne Campbell’s ChristCare group for organizing the ChristCare library in Room F.  This will provide a great resource for ChristCare leaders and group members!  Thank you so much.
