Care Ministry

MOM’S GROUP TO START JUNE 5th

If you are a mom with young children at home and are looking to connect with other moms, this is the place for you! Give and receive support and encouragement from other moms; talk about parenting; pray for each other; all while our children play in a Christ-centered environment.

Check off Mom’s Group on your connection card and come to the HRC nursery on June 5 from 10:00 – 11:30 AM!

Or, Contact Stephanie Reynolds with any questions or interest.

Stephen Ministers Care

When was the last time someone really listened to you? We’re talking about that undistracted, full-attention kind of listening. That’s one of the ways Stephen Ministers care for others. We need [more] Stephen Ministers to care for those who are making that long journey through the valley of a life crisis. Will you consider serving in this way? A training class is starting in September.  For more information, please  contact Pam Hansen  or Caroline Boyd.

Ever Thought about Becoming a Stephen Minister?

HRC will be training another class of Stephen Ministers in September. Stephen Ministers work alongside our pastors to care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support to people who are going through a difficult time, such as divorce, grief, hospitalization, unemployment, terminal illness, relocation, chronic illness, or loneliness. If you have gifts for caring, encouragement, and listening, please begin to prayerfully consider whether you might want to be a part of this exciting ministry. If you think you might be interested, talk with Pam Hansen or Caroline Boyd

Never Outdated – Stephen Ministry

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9).

Christian care is never outdated. God’s command that we love one another is the same now as it was thousands of years ago. How are you showing God’s love to others? Stephen Ministry is one way you can do that.  Contact Pam Hansen or Caroline Boyd  to learn more about this important ministry of our congregation and how you can get trained or involved.
