Johnson, 84, a longtime resident of East Fishkill, and member of The Hopewell Reformed Church passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by his beloved family. Full Obituary
Visitation will be at Hopewell Reformed Church on Tuesday, February 7th from 10:00-12:00 a.m. At 12:00 there will be a funeral, followed by a light luncheon.
Here is how you can help:  We need finger sandwiches, salads, and desserts for the luncheon.  We also need help with set up around 8:30 a.m. and help with serving in the kitchen.  If you are able to help with clean up, that would be around 2:30 p.m.

Please join us for a church potluck supper in honor of Randy on Saturday, February 18th at 6pm in the fellowship hall.

We will be asking everyone to bring either an entrée dish or side dish AND dessert.

You must RSVP for this event as it is important that we have an accurate head count. Please email Lisa Ruvo  or call her at 845-206-6067 by February 6th. In your response please include how many people will attend and specifically what you will be bringing (enough for 4-6 people please).

We will be presenting Randy with a gift. If you would like to contribute towards that you may either mail it to the church or leave it in Cyndy Warren’s box. Please note on the envelope or check “Randy”.

Wednesdays and Sundays in Lent
The theme for our Lenten season at HRC is based on Richard Foster’s book Celebration of Discipline. .  This is a Christian classic that is now in its forty-fifth printing!  Copies of the book are available at the kiosk.  The cost is $14.50.  Checks should be made payable to HRC; please note “Celebration of Discipline” on the memo line.

While we want everyone to go, those that are going to be confirmed in June are particularly encouraged to be there.  There will be 200 campers and the weekend will feature Justin Kendrick and his worship band “Out of Hiding”.  All the information you need can be found at www.hrcyouth.org, or on THE WALL next to the Kiosk in fellowship hall.  March seems a while away, but I encourage you to sign up now!
