For the past number of years many men from Hopewell have joined together with other men for this weekend away. This year Pastor Holbrook will be the featured speaker and Tony Congi will be leading the worship band with other guys from Hopewell. It is a great weekend and a great event to invite guys to. The theme of the talks this year will be on “The Season’s of a Man’s Life”. Matt Feehan’s convertible will be one of the props that will be used in helping men negotiate the different transitions of life. Conference brochures are behind the kiosk. Please check off the Connection Card if you are going, or are interested in going. CONTACT: Tony Congi, ignoc@aol.com.
August 26, 2010 by Mark Mast under Outreach and Missions,
A couple of weeks ago the Masts gathered for a few days in New York City! My brother and his family came from Missouri, my mom from Michigan, and we headed down from good old Poughkeepsie. It was a wonderful trip, but something strange kept happening. Everywhere we walked, pushing Kyle and Courtney in their wheelchairs, very rough looking people would bless them. “Bless you my son!” “Bless you and keep going, girl!” Read more »

“Dreams of Youth Ministry”
I have been welcomed back from vacation by hundreds of kids having a blast under the tent. It is VBS week at HRC. A truly awesome week as intergenerational ministry comes together to touch lives of kids in our church and in our community. I look at the future of our youth ministry as I see the eyes of these young children that very soon will be teenagers. Read more »

The Buzz is back!
Joys and Concerns Prayers this week go out to our Odyssey friends. Last week two of our Odyssey attendees died – Carl (who was part of the Odyssey choir) and Louise (who always came to Odyssey with a list of people she wanted prayers for). The people in their group homes are dealing with grief. They were able to come together this past Sunday and share their feelings with those in attendance, which was very helpful. Please continue to pray for all our Odyssey friends, but in particular those that lived with Carl and Louise. Next week we will be hosting over 100 children in our Vacation Bible School. We ask you to pray for safety for all and a week filled with fun and laughter! Please also pray for those listed in our Sunday bulletin’s prayer corner. Read more »
