MOM’S GROUP TO START JUNE 5th

If you are a mom with young children at home and are looking to connect with other moms, this is the place for you! Give and receive support and encouragement from other moms; talk about parenting; pray for each other; all while our children play in a Christ-centered environment.

Check off Mom’s Group on your connection card and come to the HRC nursery on June 5 from 10:00 – 11:30 AM!

Presently we are looking for someone to help produce our quarterly newsletter, we need office coverage on Sunday mornings, and office volunteers on Tuesday/Thursday mornings. SonRise National Park – VBS 2012

Save the week of August 20th-24th for SonRise National Park VBS!! Our next VBS work meeting will be after Easter on Wednesday, April 11th at 10:15 in Room H. We’d love your help. If you’d like to help prepare for VBS or serve during VBS please email me. Registration starts on May 1st. No Registrations accepted prior to that date. Thank you!

Be part of the ODYSSEY experience

With the Odyssey Worship service now moving to every week, there is an even greater need for help in planning, organizing and carrying out both fellowship activities and projects that are done as part of the Odyssey experience. Our friends at Odyssey LOVE to make things to away as part of their Missional outreach. They love to fellowship with each other after worship and play games. All of these things take time and commitment to plan. If there could be some group or individual who would assume responsibility for even one of the two weeks each month when we do activities that would be a tremendous help.

There are people attending Odyssey who will help with ideas and with assisting at the fellowship tables. What we need are more hands and more creative minds!

HRC GROUND CREW

We are looking for someone who can help a couple of hours a week to maintain the HRC grounds during the mowing season (April – November). Also, we need someone who can help periodically in maintaining/servicing our grounds equipment (rider mowers, hand mowers, blowers, weed trimmers, chain saw, etc.). It’s time to mark your calendars for the Family Promise Coordinator Preparation Workshop! If you are part of the coordinator team for your congregation, are the Volunteer Coordinator, or are interested in the position, this workshop is for you! The Coordinator Preparation Workshop is the first step in the training process for Host Congregations. It is designed to prepare coordinators for the opening of the Interfaith Hospitality Network with concrete actions they can take now. Come out and meet volunteers from other hosts, spend some time with two amazing representatives from the national headquarters and get excited about this awesome program!

Pastor Taylor said in his sermon of 11.20.2011 that, preliminarily, we would host a homeless family in our Youth house for one (1) week, four (4) times a year. We would be giving these famililies a meal and a warm place to stay as they back to self sufficiency.
