The Missional Church

Jesus called his church to be in the world proclaiming the Good News of his love and grace.  In our desire to be a missional church, Hopewell Reformed Church strives to be a community that continuously looks out into a world in need and asks, ”How can we join Jesus Christ in that place of need and be his hands, feet, and voice of love and grace?”  If it is by getting our hands dirty helping a neighbor in need or starting a new Christian community for people who need Jesus’ love, Hopewell Reformed Church is a community that will serve those needs, not a community looking to be served.

LOVE INC VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION EVENT

A special dessert night will be held on Thursday, September 9th at Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church for all those who have volunteered in any way this year. At 6:30 there will be a training workshop for those who have not yet attended one, and at 7:30 dessert will be served. The Bridge: Blessings from the Street

A couple of weeks ago the Masts gathered for a few days in New York City!  My brother and his family came from Missouri, my mom from Michigan, and we headed down from good old Poughkeepsie.  It was a wonderful trip, but something strange kept happening.  Everywhere we walked,  pushing Kyle and Courtney in their wheelchairs, very rough looking people would bless them.  “Bless you my son!”  “Bless you and keep going, girl!” Read more »

FAMILY MISSION TRIP

The Children’s Bible Fellowship Summer Family-style mission trip in Carmel, NY is August 27th and 28th starting with dinner at 5 pm on Friday, and working until dinner on Saturday.
